C ascading style sheets

Check out my old Style Sheets Page.

Around the same time I was building the Dynamic HTML pages for my classes, I started to build a set of instructional pages for Cascading Style Sheets.

As I stated above, my involvement with CSS started with a student request. It has not ended yet. There is always something important to learn, and of course, CSS is evolving all the time. I've probably forgotten more than I've remembered in CSS, but now with Dreamweaver at my side, it has taken over the responsibility of using only the best code in the best possible way.

However, on this page and any of the links used, Dreamweaver had nothing to do with it. All of the coding was done by hand in Notepad, uploaded to the Web usually with WS_FTP.LE what was once a free app to upload via File Transfer Protocol. Now, Dreamweaver does all of that hard work and makes sure that I don't leave any files behind, that all images are really uploaded too. Back in these old days, a faulty memory on our part usually meant that a image was missing or a page wasn't uploaded leaving a 404 error, file not found. Ah, the good old days, aren't we glad they are gone?!

The information found here of course is all from the first version of CSS Rules, they still work very well. The W3C keeps adding and developing Rules for us and if you are a good citizen, you will spend some quality time looking into what you can learn from them. Or, you can trust that your new Dreamweaver is well aware of all the new Rules and has made them available to you by just pressing a button or selecting from a drop-down list. Can life get any sweeter? I hope you get to look through these pages, maybe you'll find something that you didn't know you were looking for.

S ince this site hasn't been checked for broken links yet, you might find a few. I've lost a couple of servers over the years and some work is lost forever. I will endeavor to fix or remove any broken links very soon.

You are welcome to take anything you see on this site, if you need to see how it was constructed, view the source code. No secrets here.

Until I update these pages and move them to this server, please use the Back Button on the Browser to return or close the Window. Thanks.

Note: A red Asterisk * means the files have been moved to the new server.
