Behind the Cover Art: January, 2025

The January cover features the iconic New Year’s Eve ball in Manhattan, created using a photograph at the top of the hosting skyscraper with a well-lit ball displaying the coming new year. I individually painted tiny light bulbs to form the number 2025. I painted a banner for the Chinese New Year event on January 25th, including both English and Chinese text. Note to self: Future January New Year covers will focus more on digital paintings than mixed media and tiny light bulbs!
