Behind the Cover Art: September, 2025

During a visit to Hilo’s Hawaii Tropical Botanical Gardens on the Hamakua Coast, I captured many photographs intended for future artwork. These images have since served as inspiration for several Crier cover designs, including those announcing Shenanigans’ Luau Party in June 2023, June 2024, and September 2025. Reimagining these photographs for cover art has been a rewarding creative process. The September 2026 cover now complete uses these images once again.
