Behind the Cover Art: April, 2026

Last year, I created a cover featuring stylized raindrops and an umbrella, which was a playful concept. This year, I chose to depict wet streets, specifically a Paris street scene at dusk to highlight lighting and reflections. Although I had never painted a Paris street scene or visited the city, I decided to include the Eiffel Tower in the background for added interest. After researching reference photos and simplifying the composition, I completed the painting over a few weeks. Space was reserved for advertising the upcoming Elvis show, ensuring all elements fit seamlessly. Next, I will focus on illustrating the theme “April rain brings May flowers” for the following month’s cover.
