Behind the Cover Art: January, 2027

For this month’s cover, I chose to remain close to the 2026 cover. The prominent “Happy New Year” message and the year 2027 still remain to be essential elements. As with the former January cover, the numbers stand out once more with a three-dimensional, golden style with flares and sparklers. To complete the composition, I included references to January’s key events—the 4th Annual Chili Cook-Off and the Chinese New Year Fire Goat Super Happy2Hours. Finally, a clock approaching midnight and champagne glasses were added to fill the remaining space and bring the design together.
